MyWeddingStory is now Carbon Neutral

Trees matter - MyWeddingStory is carbon neutral

It seems like every day I hear more news about pollution and global warming. The signs seem clear - the planet’s in a mess and we need to do something now to fix it.

So: New Year, new promise. From today MyWeddingStory will no longer be a net polluter of the planet. Of course I’ve been looking into reducing our carbon footprint for a while now - I drive a very fuel efficient car, all correspondence is moving to recycled paper, I only use rechargeable batteries and actively seek local suppliers where possible. However, some pollution is inevitable. I need to get to weddings, I need to heat the studio, run the computers, charge the batteries and at the moment my albums are flown halfway across the world.

From today, I’m going to work out how much pollution MyWeddingStory produces every quarter and buy carbon credits from the Carbon Neutral Company - this company specialises in offsetting pollution. I’ll buy carbon credits equivalent to at least 110% of the pollution that MyWeddingStory produces.

To celebrate this, I’ll also be dedicating trees to all by brides and grooms. Just mention this when you book and I’ll dedicate two trees in your name in MarryMeWood in Devon - I’ll even send you a map so you can go and look for them. Just don’t carve your names in them.
