Abigail and Mike - Tunstall Church and Mount Ephraim

Before I started this job, I thought I had a pretty good idea how dresses worked - slip them over your head or pull them up and fasten or zip up. Easy.Of course now I know that wedding dresses can be a little more complicated than that. The fashion for buttoned up dresses is great - not least because you get to make your bridesmaids kneel down for at least half an hour trying to fasten tiny beautiful buttons. Abigail went one further - she had a beautiful dress from Berketex that didn’t have buttons but which had wonderful lacing on it. The only problem was that it needed Natalie to measure important points to make sure the lacing was spot on. It was. It looked fantastic - and yes Abigail had 4 of her closest friends on their knees dressing her for about half an hour

Now this is a tricky one.Normally a few pictures go on the blog and then the rest are under wraps until the bride and groom have seen them. Yesterday I got a request from one of the groomsmen at Michelle and Mark’s wedding to post one more picture. No problem - I can always post one more. The only tricky bit is he asked me to post a picture of “the vain one”.Well as it happens I do have a beautiful portrait of the person I think he means. Problem is that if I’m wrong I’m in big trouble. Mind you if I’m right (and I have the right Jason) then he is in HUGE trouble.I mean Jason, are you really calling your fiancee vain….?Anyway I’ll let you decide….

Michelle and Mark - what are we going to do with SEVEN bridesmaids?
July 9, 2007 | 4 Comments
Bigger isn’t always better. Sometimes the simplest weddings are the best - but others, well everybody likes a bit of grandeur. 7/7/7 was always going to be a special date and when I heard that my clients were having 7 bridesmaids somehow it seemed kind of right.

Here they all are in front of the church - Christina, Alison and Manolee. Tiffany, Hayley and Amber and Layla at the front (just don’t ask me which is Hayley and which is Amber!).Of course 7 bridesmaids is easy - for a real challenge, how about 4 priests?

A Kentish Partnership

There’s a great magazine published by the Kent County Council about civil weddings in Kent. It gives details of loads of venues and some help in picking suppliers and organising your day.
Until recently there was no such guide for Civil Partnerships (gay weddings). Well, now there is! It’s called “A Kentish Partnership” and should be available at civil venues throughout the county and wedding fairs throughout the year. I’m delighted that I was asked to provide the front cover picture for it as well as editorial artwork throughout the issue.

It would have been even nicer if they had got my web address right in the credit…
You can see more of Kevin and Robin’s partnership pictures here and if you want to discuss photography at your Civil Partnership then just give me a call.

Talk about relaxed! Seriously, I can’t remember ever turning up at a bride’s house where they were so ready and so relaxed before. Sarah even found time to play a quick hand of cards before the weddingJust don’t ask who won..
