Kirsty and Lee - a village wedding….and a 30 foot limo

It was going to be a simple day - wedding in the church in the village where Lee grew up and has lived most of his life and a reception in the village hall literally over the road. Unfortunately, the renovation of Chartham Village Hall overran and so the reception moved to Petham.

When I caught up with the bridesmaids in the morning one thing was clear - for Leah the highlight of the day was the gorgeous bag that was hand decorated by Kirsty’s mother. For the rest of them, it was the 30 foot limo.

Of course there was also the small matter of the wedding for Kirsty and Lee - and they couldn’t have picked a better day for it. The sun shone out of a beautiful blue sky and the church of St Mary’s in Chartham looked stunning in the light. Well worth me lying full length on the grass for this shot anyway ;)

Though of course there was also a 30 foot limo to whisk them up the narrow country lanes to Petham Village hall which had been beautifully decorated by their family and friends

Some pictures just need taking. As the light started to drop, I noticed that the field of corn across the road was lighting up with the most amazing vivd light. “Quick!” I yelled and despite poor Kirsty being barefoot (though she swore her shoes were very comfortable) we made it over there in time for this picture.

And of course, a big day wouldn’t be complete without dancing to a favourite song with your new wife as 100 or so friends watched….

Lee’s off with Kirsty on his first ever plane flight for the honeymoon but there will be loads more pictures when they return. In the meantime please leave your comments and wishes for the couple below.
