Rosalind and Richard - a day out across the water
September 11, 2007

I live in Canterbury and work throughout Kent. However, often my work takes me further afield. I’ve been into Sussex, London and even as far as Birmingham. Or, like this weekend, just a short hop across the water to Essex.

Rosalind and Richard had a pair of doves to release in front of Cromwell Manor, the wedding venue. I just had to ask the obvious question from the “dove lady”. The answer is they are homing doves. As soon as they are released their owners can pack up the stands and go - they make their own way home. Cool.

Now of course I’d heard stories about “Essex Boys” and when Doug (the best man) told me he had a crow bar in his car I wasn’t the least surprised….:) I was still quite amused at just how well this shot came out when I gave the guys just a little direction. The direction if I recall correctly was “go over there and act like gangsters,,,,”.

There were plenty of feminine touches though to soften the edges of the wedding. Like to colour theme of pink and cream and the gorgeous flowers for the bridesmaids.

And as dusk fell, Cromwell Manor lit up and the champagne fountain welcomed the evening guests….
