This way to the party

Now you’d think that a few photographs at a private party in a client’s garden would be a quiet weekend for me. But the sign above gives you a small clue. It’s pointing to a h-u-g-e marquee. Fabulous private party? Yes. Small? No.

This was an anniversary party and the planners had been on the case for a year. Before the night was out there would be a string quartet, lion dancing, drumming, fireworks that stopped traffic, some of the finest wines the sommelier had ever handled and dancing. Lots of dancing.

We’ve moved!

We have some great plans here at MyWeddingStory and we’re all set to reveal some very cool new features on the website. Unfortunately this all comes at a price - we are having to move our website to a new host.

If you can see this post then you’re on the brand new server. Where things are bound to be a little shaky for a while. Please bear with us and remember you can always use the “search” box in the top right hand corner to find anything you need.

The techie people tell me this will be “seamless” but there may be a couple of hours disruption. If things start to look a little odd then please bear with us - we’ll get everything back to normal just as soon as we figure out what “normal” is

The Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells by Jonathan Ryan

The Spa Hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells is just a short sprint from Corinna’s parents’ flat. Yep, I know exactly how long it takes to run it. I had a huge Daimler to beat… Its location was always going to make it the perfect venue for Simon and Corinna’s wedding. But with a beautiful day, plenty of good friends, copious champagne and rolling English lawns even if it had been a hundred miles away it would still have been perfect.
