The Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells by Jonathan Ryan

The Spa Hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells is just a short sprint from Corinna’s parents’ flat. Yep, I know exactly how long it takes to run it. I had a huge Daimler to beat… Its location was always going to make it the perfect venue for Simon and Corinna’s wedding. But with a beautiful day, plenty of good friends, copious champagne and rolling English lawns even if it had been a hundred miles away it would still have been perfect.

As Chloe and Sarah stepped out of the doorway there was just time for one picture before they were whisked away to the hotel. Of course really I was timing the car - when it made its second trip I would have to run the distance in a little over half the time before it returned.

Of course, before the party, there was the small matter of a wedding to take care of. Here’s that final moment as Corinna slips the ring onto Simon’s finger.

But then the sun came out, friends spilled onto the lawn and everything was perfect for a chilled afternoon….

Oh, and did I mention the champagne….?

After a delicious meal, Simon and Corinna took to the dancefloor.

before what could only really be described as the mother of all ceilidhs.

As the evening cooled, friends looked on from the terrace as Simon and Corinna had a quiet moment at the end of a magical day.

Nah. Really they were inside dancing their feet off at the ceilidh :) I mean there’s watching friends in the dusky moonlight - and then there’s dancing. No contest.
