Grand prix roses at Gatton Manor by top wedding photographer Jonathan Ryan

You know me, I’m primarily a Kent wedding photographer. But I do travel quite a bit for my work. As well as wedding photography in London, Essex, Sussex, Wiltshire and even Birmingham I also occasionally take a trip round the M25. This weekend I was over at Gatton Manor in Surrey for the wedding of Jennie and Paul.

Where they had the most fabulous roses ever. Grand Prix since you ask complete with little sparkly jewels and what could only really be described as fairy dust.

And you know, Surrey can look just as gorgeous as Kent – especially when you have a perfect summer’s day, a wonderful couple and a wedding designed by ISIS event management.

Of course with ISIS on hand for the planning and MyWeddingStory to capture every last thing you’d expect a certain amount of attention to detail - but I was still amazed by what Sophisticakes got up to.

Yep, that’s a rather tasty wedding cake. And yep, that’s a spirit level. I mean, how else would you know it was level?

Of course Grand Prix roses wouldn’t do with the bridesmaids in red dresses – so of course they had cream roses instead.

And what a wedding – the love and emotion of both Jennie and Paul was obvious to everybody at the wedding.

And of course you can’t have a wedding without a party. Gatton Manor makes a perfect venue for a summers wedding with great opportunities for photographs.

Especially if you ignore the warning signs….. :)

Even the Rat Pack turned up to entertain the guests. But it was Paul that stole the show duetting with them…
