Wedding photography in a modern storytelling style

Home / Featured / First look / Caroline and Rob – the London Golf Club

Let’s start with the guys…..

Here’s Rob, all ready for his wedding to Caroline at the London Golf Club.  Except in the manner of all grooms not exactly ready.  More “sitting in the bar with his mates and a Ducati”.

Still it never takes guys that long to get ready.  Apart from the conversation about how to tie a cravatte.  Oh and asking “do you really have the rings” for the 98th time.

And for some unaccountable reason they wanted to take beers on the short walk to Brands Hatch,

Of course with the superbikes in town and a rather liberal amount of dares and double dares it was only a matter of time before the guys changed back out of their suits and into something a little more suitable.

World Superbikes - not the groomsmen

But, sadly, they learnt the lesson that inexperienced riders + ridiculously powerful motorbikes + slippy track = great photo opportunities….*

Meanwhile the girls were getting ready at a rather more sedate pace.

Worth it though.

Caroline seems pleased with her necklace :)

Totally, totally worth it.  (And yes, some people pointed out a rather striking resemblance to Jennifer Love Hewitt.)

Anyway, on to the London Golf Club.  There’s no real story to this picture.  It’s just that unlike 98% of brides Caroline was actually early for her wedding.  And managed to look pretty good drinking water in her posh frock.

Early for her wedding!

But of course, no wedding would be complete without, well, the wedding.  Here are Caroline and Rob getting married in the beautiful golf club.

The actual wedding bit of the wedding

But no day can be too perfect.  Or the weather gods will get angry.  Can you guess what happened just as we had everybody outside on the lawn for pictures?  Yep….

Still, plenty of things you can do with an umbrella…..

There will be loads (and LOADS) more pictures soon.  In the meantime please leave your comments and wishes for Caroline and Robert Gan below.

* do I really have to point out that 2 of these pictures (1) aren’t really of the bridal party and (2) were taken on a different day? :)   Had you going for a minute though…

And don’t forget that there’s one more picture here.
