Becky and Allen - a perfectly planned wedding
August 3, 2008 | 2 Comments

Meet Becky. Becky likes to plan. A lot.
In fact, I first met Becky nearly two years ago when she booked be to photograph her wedding to Allen. When I met her a few weeks ago to finalise arrangement she had a huge bag full of paper planning her wedding. But you know what? It all worked out perfectly.

“We’re not doing many traditional things….”
That’s what Julie said to me when she asked me to photograph her wedding to Peter at the register office in Canterbury.
It turned out she wasn’t joking…..

John and Caroline - Lympne Castle by the sea

I knew it was going to be a good day.
Beautiful bride? Check.
Handsome groom? Check.
Wonderful venue? Check. Well if you count a fantastic, privately owned castle with amazing views down to the sea.
Then Christine turned up with some of the best roses I’ve seen all year.
Wedding ideas - a real wedding from MyWeddingStory

It seems like only last week I was writing about a real wedding that had been published in one of the glossies. Actually it was only last week.
Anyway, we’ve done it again. And this time it’s national.
Simon and Corinna - champagne with friends on the lawn
June 15, 2008 | 1 Comment

The Spa Hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells is just a short sprint from Corinna’s parents’ flat. Yep, I know exactly how long it takes to run it. I had a huge Daimler to beat… Its location was always going to make it the perfect venue for Simon and Corinna’s wedding. But with a beautiful day, plenty of good friends, copious champagne and rolling English lawns even if it had been a hundred miles away it would still have been perfect.
Bridalway fashion shoot on Dungeness beach

Two gorgeous dresses, a beautiful model, umbrellas and a beach. This can only be MyWeddingStory.
Especially when you consider we also had torrential rain, what felt very much like hail, high winds, salt spray and freezing cold. Oh and a lot of fun.
Welcome to bridal fashion photography like you may never have seen it before.

New prices - now starting from under £600

Usually a new price list is bad for the customer - prices go up, old favourites get dropped and it’s hard to find what you want. Well not at MyWeddingStory. We’ve introduced something brand new with our latest price list.
We call it choice. Oh, and album packages now start at £595. That got your attention.
Trash the dress - MyWeddingStory style (no dress trashing required)
May 13, 2008 | Leave a Comment

There’s a fashion going around. It’s called “Trash the Dress” or “Rock the Dress” or something similar. We’ve even heard of one company calling it “Dirty Bride” shoots….
The idea is simple, you don’t really need that dress any more so you may as well take it out and get it dirty on a photoshoot. It’s a cool idea but I think it’s just wrong.
Why ruin a perfectly good dress on a photoshoot when you can get great results the MyWedding Story way?
